The main aims of the brief were to learn how to design for a specific function, while working with a client brief. We were also to explore the uses of materials and fixtures, and analyze seating as translated into aesthetic appeal combined with manufacturing process.
Asides from being a university project, this project was also entered into the Cape Homemakers Fair Chair Design Competition, where it received a special mention.
