Tostados Toaster

Completed: September 2005.

Briefing Summary

The brief was to design a functional, contemporary toaster that solved the problems of ergonomics and power cord storage. We were required to 'freshen up' the toaster image for a future application, while avoiding retro or novelty toasters.

Comments

This proved to be a very interesting project, not only because of the two requirements of solving the problems of ergonomics and power cord storage, but also because the finished prototype had to be functional. This meant having to deal with circuitry and the mechanics of a toaster, which although are not altogether too complicated still proved challenging.
